My Daily Scripture (parallel edition)

  When we set out to write My Daily Scripture (MDS), it was clear from the beginning that our purpose was more than just a daily scripture reading. It was to provide you with a tool that could help you grow in your faith and live victoriously.

As we begin our day, it is not enough to just "read over" one or two verses in the morning and then let the cares of this world control our minds the rest of the day. The cares of this life can quench our spirits and make it very difficult to have spiritual victory - that's why God told us to "keep the Word in front of us continually". For those of you who sit in front of a computer during the work day, or in the evening as you surf the internet, MDS allows you to keep your heart and mind focused on the Lord Jesus.

If you have a yearning to love and know God, I believe you will be amazed at the effect MDS will have on your spirit. Understanding God's heart for a particular subject is one of the key principles to building your faith. Rather than choosing a shotgun approach to learning the promises of God, we chose to provide a focused method to build your faith in a specific area. If you desire to grow in an area such as health, finances, your marriage, etc; you simply select this subject using a simple drop down box on the verse window. As the program runs throughout the day, you will be "fed" with a series of verses that apply to the subject you have chosen. It is our prayer that your faith will be built up over time so that you can become stronger in this area.
